Mama Apple and Stepdad Dai Bobo helped us pack things up in Zhuzhou, Hunan, including a full-size electric drum kit.
妈妈和戴伯伯帮助我们把湖南株洲的行李收拾打包，其中还包括一套全尺寸的电子鼓。
They spent several days helping me jump through hoops to get a Chines e drivers license, and then they did most of the driving from Hunan to Yunnan, over 1200 miles!
他们花了好几天帮我费尽周折地办理中国驾照，之后又几乎全程开车载着我们一路从湖南到了云南，路程超过1200英里！
In Dali, they helped us carefully pack up everything from our Sanwenbi home, where Bei Bei and I stayed last year. With the help of a moving van, we moved everything over to the new place, and they took care of food shopping, cooking, and cleaning. They helped us think about how to organize our new space. They encouraged us to be confident in our negotiations in the lease transfer. They gifted us their car!!
在大理，他们又帮我们仔细打包好了三文笔村房子的行李——那是贝贝和我去年住的地方。我们用货拉拉把所有东西都搬到了新家后，他们还包揽了买菜、做饭和打扫卫生。他们帮我们一起想办法布置新家，并鼓励我们谈租约转让时大胆争取自己的权益。他们甚至把车送给了我们！！
After several weeks of toil, when I expressed my thanks to Stepdad Dai Bobo, he simply said, "必须的 (It must be)".
